Hold the Hammer Charity Fundraiser

Passionate about supporting our local community.

Here at Cornwall Building Supplies we are passionate about supporting our local community. With this past year being so strange for us all, we wanted to bring some fun, laughter and positive spirit to our customers, whilst raising money for a great local cause. We chose the Little Harbour Children’s Hospice in St. Austell. Set overlooking St. Austell Bay, Little Harbour offers respite care with individual children’s bedrooms, accommodation for parents and siblings and a wide range of therapy facilities. All family members can find space to feel normal and do the things they enjoy to do as a family.

We came up with a Hammer Hold competition, for a £1 donation, players had to see how long they could hold the hammer for, with prises to the value of £150 given to the longest holding male and female competitors and us at Cornwall Building Supplies match funded all donations. The atmosphere which the competition created was amazing, so many people got involved and we had some competitors entering time after time trying to beat their mates scores!

We are so delighted to be able to donate £200 to the Little Harbour and we are already planning what we can do next to give further support.
